Environmental Dimension in Chemistry Teacher Education
It is widely believed that Education is one of the most important processes to construct a fairer and more equal society making it possible to educate critical and creative individuals, who transform objective and subjective conditions of reality. Chemistry – as well as Biology, Geoscience, among others – is a fundamental field to understand the complex features of the natural and the artificial environment. Environmental Dimension in Chemistry Teacher Education is a welcome initiative from Dr. Vânia Zuin. She proposes a curriculum reform at universities by offering knowledge, values and skills to students whereby they can participate responsibly to prevent and solve environmental issues not only at universities and schools, but also in society in general.
